Trojans eat first loss since '08; Crystal Lake Central 27,

Crystal Lake Central used a thunderous ground attack and smothering defense to upset visiting No. 22 Cary-Grove 27-6 on Friday night -- the first loss since 2008 for the defending Class 6A champion Trojans.

Gage Harrah led Crystal Lake Central's rushing game with 187 yards and four touchdowns on 27 carries.

''We played really well as a team,'' Harrah said. ''We prepared for this game all summer. We went in here with the mind-set that we could pound out the victory.''
